Unexpected Guests

Last weekend we were blessed with an unexpected guest a few hours before their arrival. This weekend it happened again. This time its the BF's friend all the way from Quebec.

I apologize for the lack of posts lately. With the new job, the loss of my furbaby and frequent house guests I've been pretty tired and have been trying to get so much other stuff done.

Here are some updates:

I received a small amount for the few short shifts I worked as a dietary aide. The manager and staff there were horrendous and I'm glad that I had this other job lined up. I have to make sure I get a hold of the pay stub to make sure my fees were reimbursed for my tuberculosis test and criminal record check.

I have completed two weeks at my new job and I don't hate it yet. No, I actually like it for the most part.

Today I put the extra $50 on my student loan that I promised to do monthly.

Our new bed frame (purchased by my BF) has arrived and is waiting to be assembled.

I have not received my tax refund back yet. :(

I think its gst cheque time again. :)

I have not been tracking my spending - I may have to figure out another path for myself in figuring out a budget.

I hope you all enjoyed this weekend!! We had a BBQ last night with a few close friends and family. Today for me is just rest and catch up day. Can't wait to kick back and watch BB9 tonight.

What did you think of BB? I like James so I was pleased with the nominations :-)

Btw, I've tagged you on my blog, if you're interested.

Hello Dolly!

I'm SOOO excited to see your new bed frame all assembled and so forth. It really feels better sleeping on a bed with a bed frame. I don't know why. The guy at the furniture store was a bit of a sheister, but I really think you scored a good deal on a lovely piece of furnuitre. Gail Vaz-Oxlade would be proud of you!

I too am looking forward to a big fat GST cheque. What are you gonna spend yours on? I want to see a breakdown of how you're going to spend it!

Love you more than that a scary bag of ribs! :)

Canadian Saver - I'm enjoying this season a lot. I don't have a specific person that I'm routing for this season but I think that is was great of Adam to set up the nominations the way he did. Lets see what happens tonight on the POV!!
p.s Thanks for the GST update, I get it in the mail at my PO Box so I guess I'll pick mine up this weekend.:)

FB - My thoughts exactly

Nathaniel - We haven't been able to set it up yet being overwhelmed this week but I promise to take a pic when its set up. :)
My GST cheque has not been directed anywhere in my head yet but I think my debt will be where it goes. I get back around $95 I think.
