The Amazing $2 Costume

One of my all time favorite bloggers Arual came up with the best idea for a frugal costume this year! I ask you, readers, who can beat a $2 costume? That's what I thought!

I share with you...

The PAPER BAG PRINCESSI hopped on down the dollar store and bought myself some over sized brown bags for garden use. Then I skipped over to the kids section and picked myself up a 4 pack of tiara's. Shimmied up to the registered and handed over my $2 (plus applicable taxes of course).

DONE!

Now I just need to get out some scissors to style and detail my pretty new dress.

Thanks again Arual for a wonderful idea! I love the moral behind the story as well. Amazingly cheap and fun costume.

Blog Roll Update

It's time to add a few more blogs to my roll. Today I am featuring:

Chicky Finance - I've been reading this blog on and off for a few months now. I find her writing style very similar to mine in a lot of ways. Lots of great money saving tips, personal kicks in the ass and some pretty scrumptious looking recipes. If you haven't checked her blog out before I suggest you do!

Budgets Are Sexy - Yes they are! I only started reading this blog a few weeks ago but its always upbeat and inspiring.
He is also the founder of the "Million Dollar Club". I look forward to reading more of this blog and watching him achieve his million dollar goal.

Enjoy!

Link Love

Here is some more link love for you:

My Open Wallet - I've been reading this blog for a long time and have always enjoyed it a lot. It's regularly updated too :)

Tired of Being Broke - This blog cracks me up a lot of the time. I love when the writer goes off about customers trying to stretch their credit to the limit at her part time gig while she stares at them in disbelief.

The Hustle of Sistah Ant- She's got her internet connection back and she's on a roll folks.

Saving for a Home of My Own - This is a new blog for me but I love reading it!

Save Leigh Ann - This blogger paid off 20 G's in consumer debt in one year using blogging as support. Her posts are always good for a chuckle!
