Housesitting

A week or two ago I was looking around on Craigslist because I was bored and I posted an ad saying I was available to do house-sitting in my area. Today I came home home and there was an email requesting my price range for a lady whom has three cats. She doesn't need somebody currently but she likes to take short vacations here and there.

I hadn't thought this far ahead (yeah I know). So now I need a little advice from you all. Have any of you ever house sit or paid for a house sitter? I'm not sure what the average range is.

I just thought it would be a good way to make some extra money on the side but I forgot about having to be at my job at 6am. I guess as long as I don't have to stay there it would be alright.
